My Approach
My clients are often interested in starting counselling because they are feeling overwhelmed, struggling in their day to day functioning, stressed in their relationships or simply not feeling as well as they’d like to. Many different reasons can cause these feelings; you might not be sure what is causing you to feel this way. If you are interested in exploring this and working to feel better, I would be pleased to meet with you. In a safe and confidential space, we will work on identifying the cause of these feelings and finding therapeutic goals so you can start (or re-start) enjoying your life to its full potential!
My work is informed by an ever-growing body of research on evidence-based treatments and strategies for well-being. I have specialized training in therapies for anxiety, stress, depression, relationship difficulties, grief/bereavement, life transitions, trauma, and insomnia. These therapeutic approaches include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), EMDR, Solution-Focused, and Interpersonal therapy. This diverse background allows me to tailor therapy to meet your goals.
